All e-mail to bpsmicro.com passes through an anti-spam filter of my own design. This is an ultra-strict filter, which does an admirable job at reducing the amount of junk e-mail received at this domain. But as with any anti-spam filter, there's always a risk the occasional legitimate message gets caught.
If message you send is being rejected or goes unanswered, and you believe you have fallen victim to the anti-spam filter, you may request addition to the whitelist by filling out the form here, including a short comment on the nature of your request. If approved, you will receive a response within a day or so.

If you're curious, details on the nature of the anti-spam filter folow...
The anti-spam filter being employed uses a combination of a local list of IP addresses, IP ranges, domains and ISPs that have ever sent me spam. In addition the filter does a live lookup at the popular RBL's (blacklists) available on the Internet to trap new spam sources. However, individual IPs or senders can be whitelisted on a case-by-case basis.
Spam-friendly ISPs and countries who routinely source spam and/or fail to take immediate action on spam complaints get listed. Unlike other blacklists, inclusion in my local blacklist is permanent. No ISP will be removed from my list without substantial proof of having implemented (that's implemented, not just documented) anti-spam policies.
At this moment, the local blacklist is extensive, and includes (among many
others):
- everything hosted via APNIC, which means
everything out of Asia-Pacific (including Australia & New Zealand at the
moment).
- everything hosted via RIPE, which means everything from Europe
- everything hosted via LACNIC, which means everything from South & Central
America
- everything hosted via ARIN that maps to a site outside Canada and the US
(the above list translates to everything not from Canada or the U.S.)
Within Canada and the U.S., several large ISPs are blacklisted due to
spam-friendly policies and failure to make the slightest attempt to control spam
sourcing from their "customers". While this isn't the complete list, popular
ISPs currently blacklisted includes:
- comcast.net (Comcast)
- exodus.net (Exodus)
- verio.net (Verio)
- rr.com (RoadRunner)
- level3.net (Level3)
- internap.com (InterNap)
- rackspace.com (RackSpace)
- xo.com (XO Communications)
- glbx.net (GlobalX)
- qwest.net (Qwest)
- broadwing.com (BroadWing)
- cw.net (Cable & Wireless)
If you are being hosted by one of these ISPs, and the concept of having your e-mail blocked bothers you, change ISPs. Be sure to tell them why.
