WHAT  TO  BRING  TO  FALL  CAMP

 

(This suggested list is only a guide)

 

Scout Uniform (Always worn while travelling to and from any outing or camp site)

Main Back Pack (approx. 40L to 70 L, depending what you expect to bring)

Back Pack (approx. 35L) Reading material, jacket, snacks/drinks, etc.

Garbage Bags (used as a liner inside backpacks, will help keep clothes dry and for dirty clothes).

Socks (3 pair)

Underwear (3 pair)

Pants (3 pair)

Shirts (2) - long sleeve T-shirts and/or turtleneck

Sweater or Polar Fleece Sweatshirt

Rubber Boots

Coat or Jacket (warm and wind proof, hood optional)

Hat (warm with ear protection, and/or toque)

Mitts    (Ideally leather or nylon mitts are good).

Sleeping Bag (for winter use, or 2 bags inside one another is also acceptable).

Scout Blanket or Wool Blanket

Foam Pad, air mattress or mat.

Personal Hygiene Items: towel, face cloth, soap, lip chap, tooth paste and brush, etc.

Mess Kit (Bag) - Plate, Bowl, Plastic Mug and Cutlery (Mark name with non-washable marker)

Camp Stool

Flashlight                                           

Emergency Kit

Scout Handbook, paper and pencil.

 

NOTE:  Pack Light and Tight. Use large back packs, duffle bags, or knapsacks.

   Gear must not be packed in garbage bags only, as they tear easily.

   Identify all your belongings with your name so that if lost, they can be returned to you.

   Mess Kits are not to be ceramic or glass as they can break.

 

Optional: Compass, Rain Coat, Rubber Boots, Camp Stool

     Note: Watch for weather reports for the area we are visiting.

 

Items Not To Bring: Electronic games, radios, tape players, CD players, etc.

 

If you intend to bring your own tent, please notify Scouter Carl. Note: We have a buddy system and this requires a minimum of two per tent.
